Run of the mill and predicable but decent enough to pass the time if you have nothing better.
The series moves confidently within its dark police approach, with a texture close to Nordic noir, which establishes a strong presence of the personal lives of the protagonists around an investigation that can end up influencing the relationships established within the community. In this sense, Irish public television has remained stuck in this type of stories while the police genre has already overcome the Nordic drama stage that developed years ago. This story works within its proposal, even if it seems a little outdated.
Good story, well filmed in a nice location. However, Lisa Dwan is a weak lead actor. Her dialogue is stilted and her acting is wooden. Ruins the show and leaves it barely watchable.
Good points first: Great story. Well filmed. Beautiful location. Bad points: Lisa Dwan is the weakest lead actor I’ve seen in a while. Dialogue is stilted, Acting is wooden. She may be okay in Fair City or similar, but she can’t carry a lead role. So bad it’s completely ruined the show.
