* _Cruel Intentions_ is one my favorite movies. Saw the trailer of the tv show, thought it would probably suck, but I gave it a fair shot. Now after two episodes I think I was right. * The characters all felt quite bland. Cece annoys me so much. Her character seems very caricature-like to bring comedic elements but it annoys me. I found myself not caring for so many of the plots going on and I was so bored every time one of the two main leads was on screen. * The acting is quite bad especially for the two main leads. Lucian is supposed to be the hottest guy with that haircut? In what world?! He's everything that Ryan Phillippe wasn't. He has no physical appeal at all and has zero charisma. Caroline isn’t giving mean HBIC and her comeback deliveries just don’t land well. * My biggest issue is that I don't feel any sexual chemistry, with any of the characters... versus the original cast that oozed sex appeal and tension. * Reminds me of the Gossip Girl reboot.

Cruel Intentions: The Series was such a fun twist on the original movie. Setting the drama in Greek life gave it a fresh edge and unique feel. I was completely pulled in by Candace and Lucien’s acting, and the layered plot kept me hooked. I loved being “the all-knowing” viewer, watching all the secret angles and plans unfold—it made the game feel thrilling to watch.
