Tempest starts with a lot of potential, mixing geopolitical tension with action-packed drama, but it doesn't quite deliver in all areas. The dialogue often feels awkward and forced, with some English conversations coming across as cringe-worthy or unnatural despite have some american actors in the mix. The plot can feel lazy at times, relying on familiar tropes without offering much originality. Some characters are underdeveloped, and their motivations lack depth. As for the main villain, they're about as generic as it gets — no real surprises or unique traits to make them stand out. Jun Ji-hyun shines as a sharp, strategic lead, balancing her character's emotional depth with her role in the larger, dangerous game of power. The pacing can slow down in the middle, and some plot twists may feel predictable, but the suspense and mystery keep you engaged. Despite its flaws, Tempest has strong visuals and an engaging premise, but the execution falls short. It’s a decent watch if you’re into political thrillers, but don’t expect anything groundbreaking. Unrealistic show full of non sense, waste of time
You definitely cannot recommend this show to someone. It is a big mix of extended romance lines and scenes out of a soap opera but with some very intriguing story that you not see that often so nicely build and episode by episode start to make sense. The episodes are super long like some are 68 minutes where 40 minutes are some incredible long and written by an Arlekin master of romance and build sexual tension. I was surprised to see some US actors, it seems the economy is really bad right now, to agree on this.
