Diese Doku ist der bewegten Geschichte der FIFA gewidmet – von all ihren Machtkämpfen über die globale Politik bis hin zur Organisation einer Weltmeisterschaft.

Generally interesting to get information this detailed. The series was a bit long winded in my opinion however. I could have done without so much about the history of this non-profit (there is no word describing how laughable this is) organisation and with more focus on the corruption and crime. I am also a bit turned off that this stayed true to documentary neutrality. I don't think there should be a neutral stand when something so influential and powerful is so obviously rotten to the core. This series could have been an opportunity to dissuade people from watching the World Cup in Qatar. Instead, if you want you can still close your eyes and ears before all because firstly all the bad guys are seemingly gone and so FIFA must be magically good without any restructuring necessary and because secondly there is no judgement or anything towards the obvious lies of people like the Qatari Prince or Blatter (yeah right he definitely must have a white west because that is definitively fitting for someone so powerhungry and unscrupulous ...)
[Netflix] It offers an overview of how institutionalized corruption has been consolidated throughout history in FIFA, a criminal organization compared to the mafia by the FBI, which in 2015 dismantled part of its financial network. But the conclusion is pessimistic when one of the interviewees thinks that it is impossible to end corruption. Especially with interviews as indulgent as the one here with former FIFA president Sepp Blatter.
This was a disappointment in the end. If you've followed the news about the UEFA and FIFA in the last 10 years there's not much new to learn here for you. It's a good overview of wat happened but nothing more.
Netflix you gotta make a season 2 after the shenanigans of the 2026 World Cup. Damn the corruption is worse than ever!
Good look at the huge corruption within FIFA... and it's never gonna change. McDonand's & adidas and co. were quick to distance themselves from Russia regarding Ukraine but this... nah nothing to see or worry about everything is squeaky clean.
