Woah, it feels more like the Netflix DD, and I wanted nothing more. More gritty, more rough. We see a little out of control Devil, a little out in rage. The pieces are being sprinkled and we are in for a ride.

Strong start, but definitely a setup episode. Matt and Fisk are carrying everything right now — their dynamic is still the best part of the show. The tone is solid and it feels grounded, but nothing huge really happens yet. It’s one of those premieres where you can tell it’s building toward something bigger instead of trying to go all out right away. Good episode, just waiting for it to really take off.
