But while Caesar's self-interested niece Atia and long-lost paramour Servilia anxiously await his return, the ruling patricians despair that Caesar's homecoming will disrupt the status quo. As Caesar's legions move closer to Rome, allegiances are put to the test for both soldiers and civilians — and the escalating tensions climax with a full-scale conflict destined to change history.

I would have liked to see some of the grander aspects of Rome rather than all the degeneracy. Also seems to have forced diversity and lgbt. Was expecting it to be better.

Mostly impressed with set design and CG... Even on a good oled 4k tv the backgrounds hold up pretty well. Seems to be a mix of cg and painting. Acting is superb... If I'd have to name 1 downside it would be the random long time jumps. I get why it's done... But it's still hard to get a sense of time in the show.

A superb way to reproduce the glory and bad days of Rome empire.
