This is gonna be long so get something to eat. But hey, i assure you this is important for that show! Everything in this show is comparable with the originals...In every episode there is something that is rehashed in the bad way. The character personalities are so flat. Not to talk about the design of them and the overall animation, pacing and cinematography - (yes, I know there was very little budget, but that thing is in the foundation of the good animation. If you don't have budget, don't bother to do that at all). Even their actions are copied from the movies. The girl who gets suspicious, following the boy and discovering about the dragons? Or the boy(D'Angelo) who is super scared at first, but over time becomes really afectioned of his dragon? The only character that is not copied from the original movie is Alexandra. Maybe she is the only one interesting personage. The same thing goes with the dragons as well. Thunder - Toothless, Wu and Wei - combination between Barf, Belch and Hookfang, Plowhorn - Meatlug with beatle wings and horn. And most of the sound effects are the same. There is nothing, nothing unique for this show. This show only relies on making callbacks to the originial movie with no interesting story at all. They copied avery special, emotional and authentic scene from the original and replicated it much, much worse and cheap(ruining it). Yes, it's nice that they are here, but i don't want them every 5 mins and every time when I see how they are made to want to kill myself. Oh boy... I didn't know that superman will be in this show. How the fuck this skinny boy(Tom), that as you can see is not doing much activity can lift his whole body on one arm + the weight of a girl(Jun). And the final fight, that we were waiting the whole season... The thing that most matter in this type of scene were gone. No nice cinematography, no nice editing and choreography. This was very boring to watch... Example of a good scene similar to this: Race to The Edge S01 E10 (with Hiccup and Heather). I really do wish HTTYD movies just ended with the Hidden world, but we have to agree that as long as there are money to be made, nothing will end the way it is originally supposed to. Conclusion: From the whole show, only 10 minutes of the 5th episode are interesting. Every other thing is just so boring with not a little suspense... In the very little hope that I have, from this show we will prooobably learn something new for the haddock family. BIG PROBABLY! Conclusion of the conclusion: Was it as bad as I thought is gonna be - YES. Do I wish it never happened in the first place - hell YES. *26.04.22 *4

Dragons: The Nine Realms - ❤x8 This is another totally delightful Dragons series. It has all the same charm and heart of the How To Train Your Dragon movies and Dragons: Race To The Edge (2015) series. If you liked all or any of the previously mentioned you will certainly enjoy this. How I rate: 1-3 ❤ = seriously! don't waste your time 4-6 ❤ = you may or may not enjoy this 7-8 ❤ = I expect you will like this too 9-10 ❤ = movies and TV shows I really love!

As a longtime fan of the _Dragons_ franchise, having watched every piece of mainline content (movies and shows) since 2010, I really don't think _Dragons: The Nine Realms_ is nearly as bad as many make it out to be. Is it as great as the other shows before it? Not really, no. But what seems like an obvious IP milking here actually plays out with some cool ideas. allowing it to stand out on its own, away from the events over a thousand years ago. While not necessarily the main theme of the _Dragons_ series prior, one thing I absolutely love is Hiccup's past arc establishing the idea that dragons exist and still do exist, just in hiding away from the world of humans. _The Nine Realms_ is great in reinforcing this idea through the use of mythologies and cultures interpreting these dragons as their own monsters and creatures in stories, mainly Nordic folklore and religion (although other cultures are tied into it as well). Out of all the ways to pitch a modern-day sequel to the original series, this is definitely the best choice, in my opinion. If it wasn't for that neat framing though, I'd probably say pass on this one. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the main cast of kids in this one, who both parallel and revitalize the archetypes of the original dragon riders. Tom and Jun are the two lovers, D'Angelo is the caring researcher, and Alex is a tech genius full of occasional sarcasm. I don't think the writing is as "cringe" as a modern-day _Dragons_ story might sound like, but the plot itself is just a bit underwhelming overall. This is basically just _Dragons_ in a _Jurassic Park_-style government-protected setting, with a couple villain arcs that either feel too rushed or inconclusive. It's a shame that the story doesn't really get all that exciting until the very last season, which flies by pretty quick. The only element keeping everything going is the on-going set of connections with past characters, including those who were exclusively part of the _Dragons_ shows, although they aren't much more than just simple name drops and callbacks. I can only recommend this one to hardcore fans of the _Dragons_ series who are simply looking for a new take on the IP, especially with its surprisingly short length. Otherwise, just ignore this one, as it doesn't affect Hiccup's arc in any meaningful ways.
