Stick with it - it only gets better as the season progresses. Great acting all round and likeable characters. I can see why Harrison Ford agreed to do this. It’s a great role. Jessica Williams lights up the screen in every scene she’s in.
Just a good show about life and loss and how people deal with that shit. The casting, obviously, is great. Harrison Ford steals every scene he’s in, imho. I really enjoyed it, it’s nothing ground breaking, but just a wholesome little show. Which is nice sometimes. On board for a second season!
A kaleidoscope of emotions in every episode. Not sure how describe this show. I laugh and cry with equal intensity at the crazy situations which are so palpable and plausible. If you want a roller-coaster or just a frivolous show, I'm sure this show will fill the need on all levels. Just give it a chance, at least till the third episode, and I think you may just get to like it too.
Soooo good! I mean, maybe my favorite show of all time; certainly of the time being. Wow! First of all, it’s hysterical. Secondly, it’s showing us human imperfection at its best and at its worst. How we deal with trauma and hurt destructively by avoiding it, and how we can face it and feel it to make it through. Even some decent coping techniques included in each episode. The cast is killer. The actress who plays Gaby is just so great. Her character is the funniest of all and has the best wardrobe. I think I’d even like to watch this again which I don’t usually do… but this show is just my thing, I guess!
In its first moments (and a few times throughout), Shrinking does leaves you a little bit doubtful, asking yourself questions like: "Are the jokes too cringe? Am I not American enough? Are they trying too hard?". But as you keep watching, you realize that it's really just a sweet, lighthearted portrayal of therapy, mental health and suburbia family crises - one that should not be taken too seriously. Each episode draws you deeper into the stories, closer to the characters. Definitely one of the most pleasant and fun recent watches I have had. TOP CHARACTER: Gabby
