This is not a drama of nasty people being nasty to each other the whole time but its a succulent drama on how good people are lost in time and corrupted by love and greed. This is my first drama of Bai Lui and her smile kept me watching the show despite the gut wrenching ending .. I am planning to watch _Forever&Ever_ to recover [spoiler] As she promised they will meet again in new life and marry [/spoiler] At first i didn't want to another love story between a Master/Student which seem to be an uncomfortable trope in CDramas but their relationship was so emotional and pleasant like a Student/Master but yet not simple.... All his 10 Orphans and 1 Disciple are so adorable & honorable but some loose their way and some their lives ... loved their banter The nasty people sitting in the central palace are greedy , jealous of the western palace so they ruined them
