it was the second couple that really gave me feels. i feel like their story is more well written than the main couple. And I also like the hate to love trope with a dash of love triangle, it just never gets old for me.

The series isn't even over yet and they deserve some kind of award. The fight scenes and script alone are fantastic. Must watch if you love dramas.

There were frustrating characters but thoroughly enjoyed the show as lot of these characters had personality improvements especially Princess Yong An rather the girl Li Leyan ; she gave enough nightmares with her innocence but she grew up most on the show while still being king and caring. The characters with least development are ironically the strong willed ones like Sun , Changge . Mimi was so annoying she never felt like oppressed despite her status making dumb decision at evert front. There are many other written characters , the bad apples , the inconsequential and the kids [spoiler] so many kids died unnecessarily but thats war of state [/spoiler] Its funny that they used the manhwa panels for fighting , flight and other non emotional scenes because of their low budget was quirky . This is my third Wuxia i have 2 other Ongoing which makes this first completed so wasn't expecting a good ending unlike the korean alternatives.
