Viel Geld für wenig Arbeit – wer will das nicht? Also bewirbt sich eine prinzipientreue Frau, die beruflich leider viel Ablehnung einstecken musste, um ein hohes Amt.

==Don't judge a book by its cover== **Who said politics can't be fun? A satiric comedy about politicians can't be wrong** I've watched almost every k-drama of this year and meanwhile the whole internet gets crazy by other K-dramas almost nobody was talking about this masterpiece so it deserves a properly review. Usually to make a good drama you need a good casting, good chemistry between the main cast, a good story and good characters, this drama not only managed to succesfully do all of this but the script is insanely good, directing was something I've never saw before and edition was weirdly perfect. I couldn't be more pleased with Moon Hyun-Kyeong's script and Nana's acting, they were perfect, she definitley deserves to win an award for best actress, meanwhile Moon Hyun-Kyeong already won for best script. Hopefully this drama will open a door for more satiric stylished shows. Oh and last but definitely not least, Nana's entrances to every scene should be used to educate 🙌 My score: 9.0/10
> Hidden Gem of Romcom and Policital Satire Life is a set of threes ~Nana but you don't need to try three episodes to get hooked into this show. It is one-of-a-kind not because of the plot but because of the cinematography ; the camera angles and background; and our dear NaNa as Go Se Ra ; never seen her before but after watching ~135 dramas i found my ideal female lead. **Encapsulates all the lovable aspects of Korean dramas and Surprisingly fresh with real life characters** Into the Ring is built on the solid foundation of its excellent writing, and it endears itself to the viewer with each and every episode. Although it is missing the typical ingredients for commercial success (e.g. top-tier actors, veteran staff), Into the Ring continuously challenges us for our attention and respect, much like the Female Lead. There is just enough romance, comedy, and drama for a well-balanced drama viewing experience just shy of perfection. Story ------ The award winning merit of the newcomer Moon Hyun Kyung’s screenplay is undeniable. The diverse characters and dynamic relationships are a highlight. I usually find the political side either lacking or too hectic. For Into the Ring, I saw the perfect balance, which I loved a lot. I loved how it was not obvious how every issue would turn out, and I love how each politician was portrayed. I found myself laughing multiple times, and even shedding a few tears here and there. For me, there was a perfect balance of everything, and nothing went overboard. Even the political setting delivers laughs as we witness the ridiculousness of each politician’s pettiness. ITR transitions from this comedy to heartwarming romance to drama seamlessly. Scenes are often layered with all three, which keeps the pace refreshing and the story engaging. The drama’s journey is consistently pleasant from beginning to end, and the careful and deliberate screenwriting is what makes it all possible CAST ------- The thing that made me love the drama the most was no doubt the characters and the relationship between them. Starting off with the leading lady, Goo Se Ra. From the first episode I already loved Goo Se Ra. I loved how passionate she was and how she never gave up. I was happy to watch a character that would keep trying instead of breaking down and cry when things don't go her way. The leading man, Seo Gong Myung, was another character I cherished dearly. I loved how we got to see how Gong Myung transition as he starting helping Se Ra.
Chemistry both ML are overflowing, they act like lovey dovey couple, and they kissed like real life couple (which i find rare nowadays, most of actress just stand still and stiff when being kissed); usually i dont care and skip kiss scenes but first time watching without pause.I loved every scene they were in, even before they starting dating. No doubt one of my favorites couples in kdramaland. Also since the romance isn’t the central focus, one benefit is that there are no love triangles, no evil parents that oppose the couple, and no breakups.
Consider these two side characters - a manchild who earns his elected position with his daddy’s money and a working mother who refuses to “sacrifice” either her personal or professional life. The relationship between them and the main leads is hilarious (like when the FL turns the manchild into a whimpering puppy with her assertiveness). For other characters, Yoon Hee Su and Kim Min Jae were two characters that I could never decide whether I like them or not. Despite my personal feelings, I think they were good characters and brought a lot to the drama. Cho Maeng Duk, the "villain," was another interesting character to watch. Although his character infuriated me multiple times, I do think he was a great character with how he was set out to be. I loved the relationship between Se Ra, Han Bi, Woo Young, and Ja Ryong, which speaking of Ja Ryong, he stole so many scenes he was in! Overall, all the characters stood out and made the drama what it is. I also applaud all the actors, especially Nana and Park Sung Hoon. They portrayed their characters flawlessly and I couldn't imagine anyone taking on those two roles. MUSIC -------- This was a safe, backtrack that was used well. There was some funny comedic timing with the main song too; it suits NaNa catwalk very well and I would re-watch it few times just for the comedy timing . VERDICT ---------- Into the Ring is no doubt one of my favorite dramas of the year 2020 and one of my favorite dramas of all time. I would have loved to watch it every week, instead of the crappy netflix show release last year . I hope people don't ignore this underrated gem because of the political side and instead give it chance. If you're hesitant to watch this drama, I'd say go for it. You never know, you could be pulled in by the characters, plot, relationship, or everything wonderful this drama has to offer. A lack of some jaw dropping scene or enthralling plot line or top-tier actors might have dented its ratings; Instead, ITR makes its appeal piece by piece, and its beauty is fully appreciated when considering the entirety of the drama. After 32 episodes, I can confidently recommend Into the Ring as a solid romcom in a relatively dry 2020. I urge everyone to watch this drama for its story, acting, comedy, romance, politics and slice of life vibe. Its a must watch of 2020 and it skipped my radar until 1st week of 2021.
Online clips of this drama are what made me watch it and I was not disappointed. I loved this drama from start to finish. I was honestly gripped from the very first episode and loved everything about this drama. Give this drama a watch and thank me later. Not only was it comedic but it was also very interesting.
What a fun drama, I enjoyed every episode. I had never seen the lead actors in anything else, so was surprised at how good their performances were, especially Nana. I hope they make another season!
