[Sheffield/Doc '22] Through the Kafkaesque experience of the adolescent Anya Pavlikova, accused of belonging to a radical extremist group, the film reflects the contempt of Russian institutions towards citizens, the manipulation of information and the persecution towards anyone who raises a dissenting voice. Structured as if it were a political thriller, it reveals some disturbing issues of the secret services.
