Theatrical compilation of the SAC_2045 series — the CGI aesthetic remains a fundamental mismatch for the material. Works marginally better as a condensed narrative than episodically, but doesn't resolve the core problem.

6.5/10 - I don't think this movie is necessary but it sure is handy to rewatch S1 before watching S2 :) It's still pretty cool for an anime (the story and the visuals - the animations are a bit lacking but probably still good for an anime). I wasn't sure if I'd be able to watch the whole movie at once (as I'm usually not that into animes) but I'm pretty sure it's no problem (I had to watch it in two sessions though due to bad planning). I'm pretty excited for S2 now :) I just hope the teaser at the end didn't spoil too much.

The story is much more cohesive and doesn't waste nearly as much time as it does in the series of the same name. But it's still just an okay story.
