Not so pathetic movie showing how behind the evolution of continent history and perished nations also stands human tragedy.
The Last of the Mohicans is a film that understands something modern movies keep forgetting: greatness is not a budget, it is conviction. Michael Mann directs like he is cutting a love story into stone. Daniel Day-Lewis gives Hawkeye a quiet intensity that feels earned rather than performed. The score is not background music, but a pulse. And when that incredible final stretch hits, the film becomes almost wordless, because it knows language is too small for what is happening. Grief, honor, love, and fury all moving at the same speed. Tremendous film.
A good picture with a great soundtrack and loved the action and sound performance from daniel day Lewis.
Great movie overall, i guess only lacking on laying the foundation for the story. Back then or now we won't be able to see the violence of European Empires on the focal point, however movies like this at least portrays that indirectly via the violence of natives whether in India or in the "India".
