Handlung
Als sechsjähriges Mädchen hat sich Hotaru im Wald des Berggottes verirrt. Gerettet wird sie von dem Youkai-Jungen Gin, der sie weinend und verzweifelt unter einem Baum findet. Aus Dankbarkeit verspricht sie ihm, ihn auch am nächsten Tag zu besuchen. Seit damals kommt Hotaru jeden Tag ihrer Sommerferien in den verzauberten Wald hinter dem Dorf ihres Onkels. Über die Jahre entwickelt sich aus der Freundschaft zu Gin mehr, doch dürfen sich die beiden niemals zu nahe kommen. Sollte Gin von einem Menschen berührt werden, dann wird er für immer verschwinden …

Short Movie But A Long Storie It is a beutifull movie, with a lovely story between the two main characters, recomended to all the anime fans

[6/10] _Hotarubi no Mori e_ (AKA _To the Forest of Firefly Lights_) came highly recommended, but it didn’t quite live up to the hype for me. While many find it deeply emotional, I was left feeling underwhelmed. The story was basic, and the ending, though intended to be sad, just felt a little disappointing. There were some cute moments, and the nostalgic atmosphere was a nice touch, but it's not something I'll ever think about watching again. It may be worth it for some anime fans. It's a short watch at least, but I think I would have enjoyed it more had it been longer!
