Looking at the end credits, the first 9 cast listed are enough star power to illuminate the night. Fantastic cast, stellar performances. Chaotic, peculiar, odd, family dynamics but a wonderful premise that matures at the end of the film. It is the brief, singular moments that rise rise above the clamour of our lives that our resting souls will remember. Great direction from Jodie Foster. I give this film an 8 (great) out of 10. Unapologetic gay character in the 90s that wasn't dying of AIDS? What? Robert Downey Jr was the best part of the film.

For the life of me I can't understand how Roger Ebert gave this movie 3.5 stars. The cast is amazing and that's part of the reason that the film is so disappointing. It's a drama without drama with characters that I couldn't care less about.
