I thought it’ll be a fun horror-comedy, something light with ghosts and chaos. It tries that. The setup is there, haunted palace, past story, present confusion, but it never really finds a proper tone. One moment it’s going for humor, next it tries emotion, and neither fully lands. The comedy mostly doesn’t work, and the horror is barely there. It just keeps moving without building anything properly. There are ideas, you can see what it wanted to do with the backstory and characters, but it feels underdeveloped. You’re just watching it go from one thing to another without getting properly invested.
