if you haven't seen this film, you NEED to do it ASAP. it's a masterstroke!!

First of all, I can't believe it came out way back in 2012. It is quiet, haunting, and far more emotional than it lets on at first. The mystery unfolds patiently, wrapped in grief, guilt and Mumbai’s nocturnal loneliness. Aamir Khan plays restraint beautifully, never pushing the pain, while Rani Mukerji adds warmth and ambiguity that keeps you leaning in. Kareena’s performance lingers, subtle and affecting, especially once the truth surfaces. The supernatural turn divides people, but it fits the film’s emotional logic more than its genre label. Not a thriller that shocks, but one that sinks in slowly and stays.
