Highly anticipated as we would all like to know what condition the man is in. That he isn't in daily pain and was it the right decision to keep him alive after such an accident. This tells us nothing. We get many indirect comments that infer his state but nothing direct or concrete. What is inferred is that he is in a very poor state of health - and personally, I think the decision to keep him alive in those early moments after the accident would appear to be dishonourable to a strong, successful, powerful man like him... As a documentary, this isn't Senna. There are many liberties taken with the truth of circumstances around his racing decisions. We all know he was a nasty racer and would rather crash to win than allow a competitor the rightful chance. It does a reasonable job of humanising him. Gives a nice insight to his marriage. But the constant economies with the truth - for the bits where I knew the colour - are tiresome. It was a shame he had the accident he did. If he passes in the next 12 months as whatever palliative care he is being given is withdrawn, I sincerely wonder if this is an honest enough tribute to the man... 6/10
Seems a lot of people watch it for the gossip... This is a documentary of the man behind the wheel, if you are a Fan if you grew up in the 90s and 2000s watching him race, this is for you! if you want to gossip, maybe try something else
One of the best racing documentaries I've ever seen. It does paper over the cracks that he was a sore loser and didn't think twice about taking out an opponent - most notably his turning sharp left or right at the green flag when he was on the front row to block opponents getting past him. He without a doubt the best F1 driver ever and when he was racing I hated him almost as much as loved him and his fantastic skills. It is great to see the other side of him outside of the media frenzy. Reading between the lines in the Mick interview, Michael is obviously not very aware or conversational and that's a real pity, I'm sure he's be proud of Mick's rise through the racing landscape to get to the top. 10/10 #NeverGiveUp
I want to say before that Schumi was the guy made me start watching F1 and seeing motorsports. I was a kid back at the time, so i should thank him. Mika i remember also him, it was a good era. Now, about this i had the hopes to get more news about schumi, but no. No news. For a fan like me, i feel betrayed but i also understand the side of the family a little It was nice to see both of schumi sons, i had no idea it was gina and mick. But i have the feeling it could have been a little bit longer, it looks after he moves to mercedes Neflix hurry to finish the documentary Its my opinion of course. Now in 2021, i hope to get to see Mick in one of the top cars someday
Pure raw emotions throughout the whole documentary. A touching story that melts your heart. Keep on fighting and get well soon enough Schumi. We are all rooting for you.
