Like the way your feet feel after you run out of gas at 4am and have to walk to the closest open gas station. My Night is a road movie where an errant girl walks the streets of Paris all night and things happen to her along the way. The film's director went to the point-and-shoot school of movie directing and it's obvious many of the cast were chosen for their looks over their talent.
[D'A FF'22] There are echoes of "Cléo de 5 à 7" in this itinerary of superficial encounters that implies a deeper inner process. Marion's mourning manifests itself in a nocturnal Paris in which a diffuse space is established in time and in the vision of reality that describes a certain generational anxiety. There are sketchy dialogues that provide an artificiality that works better in the second part of the film.
