A pretty fun alien invasion film but still feels like a missed opportunity. This film has a lot of great going for it. The cinematography is great, the practical effects are top notch, the concept is interesting, unfortunately it suffers from lack of excitement, insufferable characters, and lame dialogues. It also fails at all comedic attempts. The concept alone is pretty cool, reminds me a lot of E.T. and Yuzna's Society, but I feel like it begs for more absurdity. The characters are 'influencers' and I know they're supposed to be annoying and dumb, but because it takes too long to get to the good stuff, it can get really painful to watch. That said though, when things get bonkers they really get bonkers, even if it takes forever to get there. The last moments are super entertaining with some really shocking moments, full of awesome practical effects, and tons of gory bits to enjoy.

Bad writing and (for the first half or so) terrible acting made up for by some pretty amazing wet puppets, gore, and body horror. Worth a watch if you're into this genre and to appreciate the craft but sadly misses the opportunity to do anything more interesting with the story itself.

It wasn't bad. The acting wasn't all that great but it's not often you get an alien sex scene.

I just saw it for the nice actress, sh**y movie at all.

Ok, let's get this out of the way. The Seed is trash. It's a low budget, barely any plot, script that could fit a brochure, direct to ~~video~~ streaming, skimpy bikini babes and monster trash movie. But then again, it's a great tradition to be trash in! The practical effects are pretty neat. Some quality low budget puppeteering and visuals that actually remind of proper old school analogue video effects rather than a retro themed filter pack. Watch it, enjoy it, forget it.
