Overall good movie after first 20 Mins.
Reason to watch Devara: Janhvi Kapoor. 😊
Devara should have been a solo film. I enjoyed it overall, though I could predict most of the twists. I don't understand the hate—it’s neither great nor terrible, but it definitely broke the so-called SSR curse everyone’s been yapping about, and for those who expected it to be like Game of Thrones just because the producer said so, no one could be dumber than you for believing that. NTR gave it his all, but Janhavi's scenes were tough to sit through. It's not that her performance was bad, but the character she was given just didn't work and felt awkward—she could've been left out entirely. The trend of downgrading female roles and treating them like objects unfortunately continues in TFI.
It tries to look massive and mythic, but the storytelling keeps tripping over its own weight. Koratala Siva clearly wants another socially-charged epic, yet the pacing drags and the emotional beats land softer than they should. Jr NTR brings intensity, no doubt, but even he can’t fully rescue scenes that feel stitched together instead of naturally built. The visuals are strong, the world has potential, but the narrative keeps circling without real grip. Your reaction checks out. It’s ambitious, loud and polished, but not consistently engaging. Mostly feels like a buildup waiting for a better Part 2.
