The concept is genuinely interesting - an uneducated corrupt politician forced to study for his 10th board exam in jail. That setup alone has enough material for something sharp and funny. And Abhishek Bachchan delivers. Fully commits to Ganga Ram, the rawness, the swagger, the slow humbling. It's one of his better performances and he clearly had fun with it. But the film runs out of ideas before it runs out of runtime. Second half gets repetitive, the political satire stays surface level when it had the potential to go deeper. Nimrat Kaur as the wife who discovers her own ambition is quietly the most interesting subplot - and the film doesn't give her nearly enough. Good intentions, mixed execution.
