Like my life: had a lot of potential but ended up a lot more banal than I'd hoped, though it ended well. The story of three homeless men who hit 5 numbers in the lottery and net a tidy sum started off better than I'd have guessed because it takes advantage of the set up. They can't deposit the check because they don't have a bank account and they can't get a bank account because they don't have an address... I'd have been perfectly happy with a social comedy about these men who can't afford to be rich, but the film dissolves into a cliché story of friendship that has nothing to do with lotteries or homelessness. Add to that story lines and characters that are abandoned in the middle and find you find what you thought was the winning ticket is nothing more than a bookmark.
