Good for a one-time watch! Social awareness drama..

Badhaai Do despite its flaws of being a tad stretched, still offers plenty of entertainment and is a brilliant attempt to normalize the stigma around the queer community in our country. Badhaai Do is not a great film but definitely an important film in the context of ignorance, stereotypes, and general stigma around the LGBT community. Right to Love is equally important as much as Right to Equality hence this becomes an important film. The story no doubt seems stretched at many places, but the situation comedy and some uncomfortable conversations evoke sufficient humor to make you smile. Rajkummar and Bhumi need no validation as they are stunning in each act but the highlight is Chum's performance. She is brilliant. The film doesn't make any exaggerations and sticks to its basics, breaking the stereotype without making anything cheap. Beautiful movie, will really help the Indian LGBTQ community

bc rula rula k mar dia. bus main ja rahi hoon, dunya dekh rahi hai k behn ji hath main mobile pakre roye ja rahi hain... but that aside it was a spectacular movie. bhumi aur rajkumar ki acting itni top ki thi. balke everyone. pta chalta hai sab ne dil se kam kia hai. when shardul and his mom hugged i was full on ugly crying. everything exceeded my expectations and the songs are so great as well! Good script. We need more movie like these with different genres of course with same messaging. I don't think rapid social change unless it's accelerated by education or awareness events. I guess it will take another 100 years from now to see any positive change in our society.
