[AtlàntidaFF] The main conflict is established through the past, the dehumanization of young soldiers, with their contradictions, patriots in a land that has never been their homeland. The film adopts a voice-over narration that sometimes obstructs a certain fluidity in the story. But above all, it builds a bridge that links the wounds of the past with the scars of the present, the deep roots of war trauma.
_Des Hommes_ / _Home Front_ is a collection of postcards from a war that someone reads to you while showing you the clichéd pictures in order to explain why they're an asshole. This non-story, in which the poster people appear only briefly, is nothing more than a narrator reciting horrible war clichés from the Franco-Algerian conflict.
