The film is structured in two distinct parts, separated by a central tragedy. The first half, set in a different time period from the second, is slightly superior because it is better developed, although it has some forced moments leading up to the tragedy. The second half, on the other hand, is completely lost, with the change in time partly introducing a new cast whose performances are weak. The narrative also resorts to convenient solutions for situations that should be more complex, compromising its credibility. Overall, the story is fragile, poorly structured and excessively dragged out due to its long duration.

The film harm itself in its claim to go beyond the novel on which it is based. So the penultimate forward takes on an almost ridiculous tone. It does not manage to enrich the story of Pierre Lemaitre, but it does keep the reflection on the feeling of guilt and the consequences of our actions, in a thriller that becomes tiresome, with a pretense of transcendence. Rob's music captures the character's contradictions.

_Trois Jours et une Vie_ (_Three Days and a Life_) is a brown jacket you buy to get by because it's cheap but then it doesn't look good or keep you warm at all. This is a local theater amateur production of a stylish script... if lack of any style is a style.
