Awesome Korea action. Very well done.

First off, don’t be deterred by the shit poster. This film is very much in the vein of The Man From Nowhere and it’s full of great surprises. It’s much more action heavy than The Man From Nowhere and it definitely paid off. Beautiful cinematography with excellent slo-mo shots implemented like In-Nam’s dive through the windshield. I appreciated how this filmed used its cinematography and pacing to build suspense up until the absolutely batshit INSANE ending. The writers decided to give us a fairly predictable movie until the last 10 minutes. I love it.

This movie touch on a raw topic the world has ever faced since who knows. This evil and saddest aspect of humanity, child abductions. The secondary sub-plot felt as it should secondary, a just a pass-trough by advocating to the real showcase it wanted to tell. Sure the actions and acting above all was super, but when you match it with this hard and heavy topic, it felt for sure that is was just intended. Sure there has been other movies that has done this, not saying this is different and more compelling but, it does add to the lists of the many. This one is all action non stop with a gut punch of a reality behind its secondary plot along side the exposition with this main issue of child abduction.

This hitman thriller is a gripping and energetic action extravaganza full of tastefully crafted frenzy My Rating : ⭐⭐⭐ ½ (78/100) Deliver Us from Evil delivers a no-nonsense, action thriller filled with fantastically choreographed set pieces, brutal fistfights and enthralling gun fights. The film offers very little in its plot to be distinguished from other Hitman thrillers but its the execution that makes this a riveting actioner and a box office success in South Korea. The screenplay is written by the person who wrote The Chaser, Hong Won-chan and he inculcates deeply engrossing sub-plots and building it up for a fitting climax. There is a lot of bloodfilled set pieces which are extremely convincing and well done. Despite the age, Hwang Jun-min (The Point Men) and Lee Jung-jae (Squid Game) perform deliciously crafted stunts and theit face-off comes in as the best part of the film. Hwang Jun is fantastic as the retired contract killer and as usual speaks less, is ruthless and deeply emotional. He gives a solid act. On the other hand, I see Lee Jung in Japanese Yazuka avatar and Oh God he strkes so hard as one. The character is intimidating and menacing and he delivers it with ease. Park Jeong-min aa Yoo-yi is unidentifiable, he provides the right amount of cheese and solidity as a support. Overall, its difficult to deny that Koreans do action much better than anywhere in the world. This is justified in the film. This action film is really perfect for those who really love action films because not only it has good storyline, but it is also well written and well edited. The cinematography of this film is really good although I'm not a huge fan of the color grading. No wonder why the cinematography is good tho because the director of photography is known for other brilliant films like Parasite. Actors did so well in their character especially Hwang Jung-min and Park Jeong-min! Love their acting so much! I recommend this!
