It's good to see Bollywood is trying to raise social issues these days but I think these movies will not make much difference in Indian society.
Sharp, funny, and surprisingly honest about insecurities people usually hide behind jokes. The writing balances satire with empathy really well, and Ayushmann fits perfectly into that awkward, self-conscious space the film explores. The humour lands, but it never forgets the emotional core. Bhumi Pednekar acts well, no doubt, but painting her darker instead of casting a naturally dark-skinned actress is hard to ignore. The film talks about beauty standards yet slips into the same problem it’s criticizing. Still, the message hits, the performances work, and the film stays engaging throughout.
This movie is jackass. The director couldn't even cast a black girl. He painted black on white actress (Bhumi Pednekar). This shouldn't be acceptable to anyone. This also shows that capitalism can exploit everything. Also, Yami Gautam still do fairness cream ads. These assholes just made this movie for virtue signalling.
its a dull movie about the lows of being bald and then the highs of having hair and then the lows of the hair actually being a toupe. Wtf was with Bhumi Pednekar black-facing herself to play a role? Couldn't they have given it to an actual dark-faced actress. bollywood is a sham. But but but...ending will make you tear up a bit. slightly.
