It’s another week so that meant another movie swap with Joe. Naturally that meant another dud from him. Joe can handle my trash talk. I guess I’ll find out if he at least enjoyed this one tomorrow. I thought this script was complete crap. It’s a gang movie but tried to be super melodramatic and that didn’t work. I’m not even really disappointed in this being the movie for the week. I was up for watching this when Joe picked it. I’ve always like Jean-Claude Van Damme. I grew up watching all of his movies. I haven’t seen many of his newer ones though. If this is any indication of how good or bad they are, I won’t be rushing to watch them. He doesn’t even speak in this damn movie. The editing style kind of drove me nuts. It had a ton of really quick cuts and some bad camera work. It also dragged quite a bit. Plus there were so many characters to develop and give screen time to. That didn’t help things at all. It’s not all bad though, it had some decent moments. This might work well for other people but I couldn’t get into it. * Movie swapping with Joe

A somewhat different than usual story. Noteworthy is the performance of JCVD here, he does not speak, but his expressions are seriously another level. He has finally transitioned to more mature acting now, so do not expect much action, but a lot of expressions that seriously convey the message. Let's be clear here, acting without speaking is difficult. The story of the movie, as said, is different but reminiscent of some sort of GTA combined with Fast and Furious. It makes for a good watch!

Not a bad story, I liked Rincon(the boss of the bad guys) the most of all the characters, and van damme omfg he really got on my nerve, I HATED the character he played. The camera work was just shit, no other way to describe it. Overall extremely poor.

That shaky camera was just awful, and along with very short shots it ruined the movie for me.
