Adolpho Rollo ist sich sicher, die nächste Filmgröße zu sein, hat aber weder Geld für einen Film, noch für die nächste Miete. Als er kurz davor ist, sein 500-Seiten-langes Skript zu verkaufen, stößt er auf den Gauner Joe, der mit ihm den Film produzieren will. Natürlich hat Joe das Geld aus krummen Geschäften, an denen vortan auch Adolpho betiligt ist. Der Film läßt auf sich warten...

A strange way to produce a film.

The good: you get to see young Steve Buscemi, Sam Rockwell, Stanley Tucci and Jennifer Beals. The bad? The story isn't that compelling. Buscemi and Cassel. What a great duo. It's black and white but that isn't an indication of a pretentious art movie. It's not at all. It's another movie about a writer but it's not boring or self indulgent. Deals with writing insecurity and fantasy well with Buscemi's character. Cassel is hilarious and has an element of unpredictability. A bit strength is that it lacks faults.
