I liked the blend of college film, documentary, and performance piece here. It’s a great portrayal of revolutionary euphoria sliding into betrayed disillusionment, the loss of a utopia almost had. And incorporating so many trans actors and queer moments is a pointed reclamation and refutation of what Soviet Russia became and what true leftism can be.
