Demons infecting the world through the internet and phone apps? Normally this modern garbage would be complete shit, but add in Aussie comedy, a lot of gore, well done CGI and a script that gets right into the grittiness, this has fun written all over it. If you've seen Wyrmwood, you know exactly the type of bloody mess you're walking into.
An over-the-top comedy-horror that feels like Ghostbusters crashed headfirst into The Matrix after a few energy drinks, Nekrotronic starts out as loud, dumb fun and then slowly mutates into pure nonsense. The movie throws neon, demons, CGI chaos, and smug quips at the screen with enough confidence that you almost admire the audacity, but after a while absolutely nothing makes sense and you start checking how much runtime is left like you’re waiting out a dental procedure. There is some mediocre fun to be had in the sheer ridiculousness of it all, but it is the kind of movie that mistakes hyperactivity for cleverness and leaves almost no lasting impression once it is over. Not terrible, not memorable, just a noisy little sugar rush of a movie that evaporates the second it ends.
❤x7 I think this has the earmarks of becoming a cult-classic. It's absurd to say the least but a whole lot of fun. How I rate: 1-3 ❤ = seriously! don't waste your time 4-6 ❤ = you may or may not enjoy this 7-8 ❤ = I expect you will like this too 9-10 ❤ = movies and TV shows I really love!
This genre-bending horror is wild, cheesy, colorful, gory and hilarious, bursting with an ambitious or stupid premise that mixes supernatural elements with technology. It feels like a mashup of familiar genre films while still retaining its own identity. The imaginative vision paired with a lot of nice visual flair and action make this a thoroughly entertaining watch. Another fun addition to the Christmas horror list.
I didn't thought I would like this movie as much as I did. A great surprise. The story is very original, and the over-the-top acting, CGI and pace fits well with the movie.
