a slow movie with beautiful locations. great characters great cast . slow but full of tension that what kept me interested the whole time. i mean depp and pattinson are crazy evil people. good advice imma tell yall brothers and sisters we need mutual respect and be aware of the barbarians they are crazy as hell.

Gave up after an hour, what a terrible snooze fest.

The movie tries to depict the cruelties committed by colonial forces in the countries they occupied. They mostly did not consider the local population as equals and often times even more like animals. The movie shows though also that there are those that are just cruel to the local polulation and there are those who do not agree with that. The latter have though a difficult stance against the former. Despite a great performance by Rylance, Depp and Pattinson, the story is just not credible and solid enough to make the movie great.

My honest opinion of this movie, Johnny Depp has made better movies then this, Robert Pattinson, I am not much of a fan of his, the best actor in this movie was Mark Rylance, he is reason I watched the whole movie....

Interesting subject but everything happens too slow !
