I've always been a fan of both coming-of-age movies as well as movies where characters are thrown together for a limited period of time. I've always felt that the latter allows the viewer to feel like they too are participating in this moment in time. In this movie we are introduced to characters that are living through their last summer before college. In many ways the movie plays like a network tv drama. There aren't really any major events that happen through the course of the movie and the dialog is mostly very sterile. Also, all of the budding relationships have the same consistency: one character is hopeful and the other is jaded and stoic. That said, it is an easy watch.
