Well, _*I* liked it!_ Back in 1988 seeing performance art on television was a treat. I used to tape, and memorize, any stand-up comedy that came on... so, watched this over and over. Really wished there'd been more than one ep.! The silliest of the skits was the Kipper Kids, and I could swear they appeared as a pair of aliens on Star Trek: Next Generation in slightly different costumes a few years later! Bill Irwin's dance number is classic -- this is the first place I saw him. Paul Zaloom, "Eating in America," classic. This can still be found on YouTube, and I recommend giving it a watch! https://youtu.be/Z-2zAY2KaVc This was also the first time I saw, "Human Steps..." I general, the biggest part of seeing something like this is how it establishes a baseline for what is possible and acceptable -- nothing in this is too far, or too weird, and so one can remember bits & pieces years later, and think, "well that's pretty tame, compared to..." this other thing that we found entertaining.
