French drama Plonger (Diving) is the story of a dysfunctional relationship between an older Frenchman and a young Spanish woman. French actress / director Melanie Laurent masters the art of filming negative space, and Spanish actress María Valverde does a wonderful job of filling it. That said, I'd have liked to see more that **does** happen, and a lot less of a long second act.
