This doesn't seem to know who it wants to be the main subject of the film.its stuck in the middle between Paris, the son who murdered his sister , and Charity, his mother and her troubles being a parent and a daughter of her chaotic mother. It treads a line between all three people infact but doesn't go deep enough with any of them. Like it doesn't mention the full extent of the murder by Paris of his sister. They never mention the rape of her by him. Maybe if this was done as two parts, one being about his mother and her mother and their relationship. Then a part two about how their relationship affected the way Charity was as a mother to Paris and his sister. The gran lived a party life aswell as being a mother. Then Charity was a mother to Paris but had time to start a smack habit.Then Paris ends up being a "kid who kills" subject. None of that is a spoiler by the way as ppl watch this because they know the back story.

Sad story with a very sad subject matter. However, I just didn't feel like it went in depth enough, and wish they would've extended the timeline to find out what happens when Paris gets out of prison. All in all, a so-so documentary imo.
