Handlung
Djata ist ein unbeschwerter Zwölfjähriger, der in einer brutalen Diktatur aufwächst, abgeschottet von der Außenwelt. Als die Regierung seinen Vater Peter ins Gefängnis wirft und Djata und seine Mutter Hannah als Verräter brandmarkt, gibt der Junge keine Ruhe, bis er seinen Vater wiedersieht.

Two thirds of a really great movie... and then the ending, which I found disappointing. A shame, as the dystopian future is interesting, a cross between Nazi Germany and Stalinist Russia. It's based on a novel which I haven't read and the film may follow the narrative. If so, the ending would still disappoint, though it may be trying to make a point. Recommended, though you may be as frustrated as I was.
