As a B-movie fan, I plucked this off the shelves at Walmart. This is exactly as you'd expect. The SFX are laughably bad. The dialogue and plot is substandard in such disaster films. Casper Van Dien is the closest thing to a star among the unknowns. You could say it's a good thing he's fighting a menace that's fiery in lieu of watery so that his hair still looks good as the "Fire Twister" is pretty much a ginormous blow dryer. Also if you wanted to see how incredibly old Joe Regalbuto became since he stopped playing Frank on "Murphy Brown" here's your chance (or it's likely you already have upon seeing commercials for the sitcom's return this autumn). In conclusion, the movie's good for playing in the background while multitasking (e.g. using your phone, playing video games, or doing laundry). I'd prefer that over actively watching it, which I admit I still haven't done as I muted the TV to ignore the crappy dialogue, although I did finish watching the movie.

once the fire twister appeared (less than ten minutes in) it was pretty awesome. the effects are killer wouldn't change a thing.
