I do like this movie a lot, it was one of the ones I watched with my father when I was a child and that probably had an influence of my interest in technical stuff. So there is a bit of nostalgia involved on my side. Is it a perfect movie ? No, but what movie is ? The timeline off the movie is a bit rushed especially with the dives up and down which felt too fast. But given that this is a movie, and in fact a desaster movie, they have to cut some corners. It still runs a bit long. But with an amazingly well known line-up of stars, not uncommon in those type of movies around that time, it is still great entertainment and a movie I really wanted to see again after all those years. Looks pretty good today in HD, too.

A bit of a dull film that have little action, some great acting though and is sustained thanks to Heston and Keach performance. Predictable script but highly watchable.

Average disaster film, that is brought up a level by it's great cast. Not much action for an adventure/thriller, but it's slow burn gives you time to connect with some of these characters. Characters who seem a little too calm, given their predicament.

Heston is restrained in his role, which works out pretty well. Everybody else does a good job and the special FX are average for the time. Definitely worth watching.
