After the cliffhanger ending on Season 1 ( _True Justice_ Season 1, Episode 13 available on Roku.com) I was interested to see how they would tie everything together. Can't say I'm at all impressed with the "new team"; chemistry seems awkward and forced and things just don't flow as smoothly in Season 2 as they seemed to - almost from Episode 01 - in the first season. This particular "movie" ( _True Justice_ Season 2, Episodes 1-2) wasn't all that interesting and even though the story was basically about "avenging the death of [Seagal's character's] friends" it didn't feel that way. There was very little mentioned about the deaths of these fallen comrades, and the whole story seemed that it was no more than any other case "Kane" and his SIU had investigated. Very bland, very lifeless, and the new "crew" added zilch to it. If you watch this as a "movie" it probably won't do squat for you; it makes a _little_ more sense if you're following both seasons of _True Justice_ but even then, this was really just a very boring story. **JUST FOR GRINS:** If you **do** decide to sit through this one, pay close attention to the editing "skills" (or lack thereof!) in the audio between the 00:43:20 mark and 00:43:40. The scene is Kane explaining to the sheriff why he (Kane) is still involved in the investigation; they're outdoors, there's a lot of background noise, wind, traffic, etc, when suddenly - at 00:43:31 to 00:43:33 - there's this GLARING edit where Seagal says _"Look man they don't want Nikolai to talk"_ and it sounds like he's speaking in a vacuum. No wind, no traffic, no outdoor sounds or background noise; it was a completely foreign line, like someone punched it in from a totally different movie. LOL It was such a horrible edit that I had to go back multiple times and laugh at it. Seagal can't even pay someone to do quality editing on these films... What a riot.
