Oof, some early digital animation here, with a ton of CGI backgrounds that looked like they were assets pulled directly out of the Sega Saturn game. The backgrounds that weren't CGI had some weird, poorly-drawn digital textures on them that made them just look really blurry and amateurish. Couple that with some character animation that, while competent, is hindered by some poor, low-res digital linework that shows an incredible amount of aliasing. Character design is fine, but it's held back by the poor animation. Despite the awesome looking promotional art on the poster, this is all-around quite a terrible looking anime. It doesn't matter much, anyhow, since the story here is simplistic and boring with poor writing for the characters and not much of a plot in the first place. The soundtrack was composed by the same guy who did the game's score, which is fine, but these tracks definitely work much better alongside the action of the game than they did here. Overall, this is pretty piss poor. I'd recommend skipping it unless you're the type of person who's just really curious about these kind of adaptations.
