The true story of the 33 is gritty, emotional and well crafted. However, it's just not quite right. It's very tense, but not thrilling. It's stressful, but not developing. While we do see it from an outside view, we never really get to see the strain the miners are put under. There is far too much focus on what's happening outside the mine, rather than - more importantly - in it.
