This movie that finally proves that Jennifer Aniston can act when she's not in a romantic comedy. For a drama that should be about a woman's struggle to find life after losing a loved one and her own health, this marvels with the lack of constant crying, begging for sympathy and dwelling in the past. They don't even tell you what happened to scar this woman. Because that's not the point. This movie is everything I look for in a drama - it's not dramatic. Lots of stars and hearts with one extra for both Aniston and Barraza for a job well done. And perhaps one more heart for Aniston, who finally did something totally different to prove she's not just another Friend trying to sail that ship forever. For me, she's now in the Sandra Bullock category
Terrible. boring and going nowhere. 14 minutes switched it off.
This movie not for me.
Jennifer Aniston's voice always reminded me of Rachel from Friends but the acting was unexpectedly good. So she does know how to portray someone serious! Same with Felicity Huffman - we already knew she could act but the voice always reminded me of Desperate Hosuewives ;). The story itself was great (really sad) but some passages were quite boring though. I was not looking for more action but somehow expected more from the movie. Great that it did not contain constant whining and dwelling in the past like so many other dramas.
