The half noir half modern thing, in the beginning made me confused as hell but it was a good idea. The story was getting kinda interesting.. until the beginning of the end. Extremely 'meh' ending. Another thing: I'm all in for allegory of speech (I mean, I love NBC's Hannibal) but there was so many dialogues that made absolutely no sense, things that literally (and I know what 'literally' means believe me) meant nothing even in the context of the movie! It's crazy talk! I was ready to switch to another movie on the first 40 minutes.
Some decent special effects, but the story is boring and dumb. Disappointing.
This movie had potential, but fell off towards the second half of the movie. Script was not that great, neither was the acting. The plot started getting so bad I couldn't take it. There was probably about 20 minutes left of the movie and I turned it off. That's how ridiculous the plot and acting got.
Kinda enjoyed it, liked the whole idea with the house and the rooms and also how it was _made/filmed_ in the house.
Cool little horror movie, with an interesting story. Not really scary or noteworthy, but it's fun to kill some time with. This makes me want to read the comic.
