The characters started out with some charm, but eventually became un-likeable. Nothing much really happens to them, and the erotic moments were awkward and unexciting. Urban city streets, a dingy plain apartment, and convenience store are the extent of the setting. A few side characters narrating to the camera provided the most interest, and gave the film a slight documentary feel. But ultimately, Johnny 316 is just a walk around the block to nowhere.
