The film is an increasingly melodramatic affair, pop music used excellently (Kiss AND Blondie!) The film does have issues associated with it's production, age of cast etc. The performances are all solid and a young Tom Cruise is a (blink and you miss it) pivotal character (Billy) for putting an idea in David's mind....🔥

The protagonist of this movie is very dumb and everything revolves around his choices. He can't read people, he can't read situations, he can't even understand time. He has not idea what patience is. It is a very strange love story because of that. It could be so easy if he was a little bit more intelligent but this movie is built around this crazy character. He's literally the maker of his own misfortunes.

I don't get the hate for this movie. Yeah, of course title and the movie nowhere. I thought this is an erotic movie, well for the first half it was very well fun teen love movie, and the other half... oh god... depressing and full emotional roller-coaster. I'm not spoiling anything, just making you aware of that, don't make the same mistake I did. Perfect night movie, especially if you wanna get moody

The first half of the film is beautiful, a dreamy and intoxicating portrait of first love and two teenagers firsts sexual relationship. I found the second half less compelling. I'd rewatch for the first half when in a romantic mood.

Brooke Shields stars in the monotonous and melodramatic romance Endless Love. Other than the amazing theme song from Lionel Richie, the film is worthless. It’s just a sappy teenage love story that goes nowhere and relies completely on clichés.
