A film the box office completely ignored but deserved a little more credit than it got. The concept of a rough, small-time gangster going soft over a girl next door is not new but Vivek Oberoi makes Jayantabhai genuinely likable - bumbling, earnest, unexpectedly sweet. It's one of his more charming performances in a career that never quite found its footing after a strong start. The film is lightweight, occasionally inconsistent, and the second half loses some steam. But it never pretends to be anything more than a breezy one-time watch. Sachin-Jigar's music is quietly the best thing in it.
