So unremittingly boring I thought it had to be based on a true story-not even! Don't let the poster fool you, this film is the antithesis of an action film: it will suck all the action out of you.
I enjoyed this movie. Takes a while to get going but it gets really tense halfway in.
It wasn't a bad movie, but it also wasn't what I was expecting or really stood out in any kind of way. It felt a little bit too much like they were just trying to think of anything that could go wrong to add suspense. It's not unrealistic, but people were treating it like it was the Apocalypse or something and not just a hurricane. Good example is
the first time he got robbed and the guy didn't want his wallet or watch saying "what am I going to do with a watch?" Gee I dunno wait a week and then sell it? Go over to one of the other cities since the rest of the country still exists and do the same?
It's because of things like that it felt more like I was watching the Walking Dead then the movie's theme, and since 3 actors from the Walking Dead showed up here that didn't help me feel like I wasn't watching some zombie apocalpyse movie verses a movie about a hurricane and a trapped dad in a hospital. I wouldn't watch it a 2nd time.
Good one. Not what I was expecting definitely. Touching.
A touching Movie. Rest in peace Paul!
